  • What should I bring?
As we are an all weather groups and living in Tassie we can expect all weather on any day I recommend bring these items to all sessions. * Raincoat / overalls - Please contact me if you need to borrow some. * Closed toe shoes - to protect our feet and legs from bites and scratches. Gumboots are best as the property is muddy and there is a lot of animal poo. *Long sleeved top and pants- to avoid scratches and sunburn. You can get some lightweight long linen clothing from Kmart. *Spare clothes - at least one set in the car. *Hat and/or beanie *Sunscreen of choice *Insect repellent of choice

Most of our villages and holiday sessions from for two hours. Event times will vary and will be advertised.
  • Are there toilet facilities?
Yes. All locations have toilets available. Some are a short walk away and best used before the session.
  • What age are your groups for?
Playgroup is for children from birth to 6 years old. Children under 6 months attend for free. Home Educator groups are generally for children aged 6+ and younger siblings are always welcome to attend. Ages for events vary and will be advertised.
  • How can you have a 6 month old and 4 year old in the same group?
Throughout my career, I have worked with children from birth - 18 and have seen over and over the benefits of multi age lay and learning. Nature provides an abundance of developmental and sensory stimuli accessible to everyone. The activities and invitations I offer have multiple points of entry, meaning that can be accessed at different stages of development. A 3 month old may enjoy the sensory opportunities of the creek, feeling the water and connecting to nature while a 4 year old can explore science through making nature boats, tipping and pouring or looking for life in the water. As the facilitator, I meet children where they are and provide opportunities to extend this.

We loved the fire skills workshop. Roxanne is an amazing facilitator and teacher, and I love the relaxed approach, it really suited my kids (8 and 4 y o) that they could learn in their own way and follow their own interests. Roxanne kept an eye on every member of the group making sure they experienced success and offering challenges at just the right level.
